Outreach Coordinator - Wisconsin

Position - Part-time contract; Temporary

Location - Remote; Preference for Milwaukee, WI

The climate emergency is here. The world as we know it is running out of time and the window for small, incremental action has closed. Instead, we need an emergency-level response to avert climate catastrophe—and leaders with the courage and mandate to take bold action. ACE’s mission is to educate, inspire and support young people to lead the fight for their future. We achieve our mission by reaching tens of millions of young people with our programs each year, training a new generation of leaders, amplifying youth voices to shift the narrative, and increasing diverse youth participation in our democracy.  

ACE is looking for a charismatic and persistent outreach coordinator who can help increase teacher awareness and interest in our in-person climate education programming (at no cost to the teacher/school - See Our Climate Our Future for similar programs). A successful candidate should have general knowledge and interest in climate science, environmental justice, and education. The ideal candidate will be passionate about young people’s role in solving the climate crisis and have experience in conducting phone outreach or sales. This position reports to ACE’s Senior Education Manager.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will:

• Conduct phone calls and emails to teachers in key regions of FL, WI, OH, PA and NC
• Quickly follow up on responses
• Be persistent and available during school hours to increase response rate
• Research and document additional methods of outreach
• Participate in project management through Monday.com
• Communicate with relevant teammates on Slack

Qualifications

• 1 year of work experience in sales or phone outreach
• Must have access to own computer with reliable internet
• Must be comfortable working remotely and independently on projects
• Strong attention to detail, with demonstrated project management and organizational skills
• Excellent people and communication skills

Position Details

• Schedule: 10 hours per week , flexible schedule
• Hourly pay: $25 per hour
  • Additional metrics based financial incentives available
• Location: Remote; Preference for Milwaukee, WI
• Temporary, Non-Exempt, While funding lasts
